Colin Jost forced to drag wife Scarlett Johansson, says he can’t enjoy her movies without alcohol

Colin Jost was forced to make a jab about his wife Scarlett Johansson during the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live”.

Jost serves as co-host of “Weekend Update” with fellow comedian Michael Che, and the two wrote some brutal jokes for the other during what was the final episode of the year.

“New York State now allows movie theaters to serve alcohol, which is how I’m finally able to enjoy my wife’s little art movies,” said Jost, who winced while delivering the never-before-seen joke.

“I’m kidding, honey, I love all of your movies and if you ask me you’re an even better ‘Black Widow’ than Coretta Scott King,” he said of the late Martin Luther King Jr’s wife.

To add to Jost’s embarrᴀssment, Che had a “poet, author and activist” sit next to him as he delivered the joke.

“Please welcome Dr. Hattie Davis, ladies and gentlemen,” Che said of the actor who was a black civil rights activist.

Fans applaud Che’s efforts
While Jost may have been embarrᴀssed when delivering the material, fans were clearly entertained by his efforts on social media.

“Michael Che does him so dirty,” wrote one fan, with another adding: “I swear they tried to end him with this one.”

A third added: “They didn’t hold back on this one. Those two are comedy gold. We need more of this.”

Jost gets his revenge
While Jost may have been forced to take a dig at his wife, he did get a measure of revenge on Che later in the segment.

“Last month Beyoncé posted a pH๏τo on Instagram of herself in a chrome Versace dress and platinum blond hair that many people online described as ‘too white,’” Che read the previously never-before-seen joke.

“In fact, Beyoncé looked so white that I was finally attracted to her.”

Jost and Johansson were first linked with one another back in May 2017 when the two were spotted kissing follower her appearance on SNL.

They later wed in October 2020 during an intimate ceremony at her home in Palisades, New York. The two welcomed their first child together in August 2021.

Johansson is also a mother to 9-year-old daughter, Rose, who she shares with ed-husband Romain Dauriac.
