Scarlett Johansson: Glamor and mutiny for the new Dolce & Gabbana campaign


The star looks like a classic Hollywood beauty in a recently released behind-the-scenes video from her new Dolce & Gabbana make-up campaign.

She said of the experience to People: ‘The shoot was great, sort of like working on a little movie, which was unexpected but really fun, sort of our tribute to Marilyn.’

The shoot, which paid a subtle salute to icon Monroe, is for the Italian fashion label’s new fall collection featuring the debut of Perfect Mono Intense Cream Eye Colour, which hits stores in September.

The short clip is a compilation of scenes which include the star getting primped, pampered, and posing for pictures.

Scarlett dons a black polka dot retro-styled frock in the video as she displayed her sultriest looks to the camera.

She told the weekly: ‘The concept this time around was just to give a really modern and classic feel and have it be a nod to old Hollywood, but still keeping it really fresh.’


As the Lost In Translation star’s fiancé Romain Dauriac is a French journalist, she felt quite at home on-set.

The actress added: ‘We sH๏τ it in Paris, which is really like home to me now, and the more time I spend here, the more at home I feel.’

It is good to know that Scarlett feels at home as she is expected to be giving birth to the couple’s first child in the next few months.


The Avengers star worked with well-known fashion pH๏τographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the campaign as she has a close relationship with the duo.

 

 

Scarlett said: ‘They were my first foray into the fashion world, the world of glamour and beauty, and here we are, ten years later, still doing it.’


The blonde beauty also said that what she likes about the high-end product is the versatility of the palette.

‘You can really go from day to night with the palette, using the lighter, more iridescent colours, and just add a little mascara and go,’ Scarlett added. ‘It’s nice to have something that’s that easy to use, you don’t have to have a huge makeup bag with all your products in it.’
